Between Prague and Tel Aviv, Truth and fiction, Myth and reality, four speakers spoke about the Golem in our lives: Eli Eshed, Sarah Blau, Yuval Caspi and Ido Shemi. Parts from the movie Der Golem (1915) were screened at the end of the evening to an improvised score by musicians Vitali Podeski and Roman Alexeyev. The evening was organized by Salon Tel Aviv member Itay Mautner.
Eli Eshed presented the 'Golem' superhero – a project initiated by him and comic artist Uri Fink about the history of a comic's series in an alternative Israel, an Israel in which there was a fully developed comics industry since the 40s. The book describes the history of the series since the 40s when it was created by, among others, a Jack Kirby who had immigrated in that alternate universe to Palestine like many other Jews, through to the year 2003, and it describes many stories in which the Golem is collaborating with various well known Israeli personalities such as Moshe Dayan and Ariel Sharon…
Sarah Blau wrote "Yetzer lev ha'adama" ("The Book of Creation") – A love story between a woman and a Golem she has created to be her man.
Yuval Caspi immortalized the recentley departed Dudu Geva's creation 'the Duck' and put it atop the Tel Aviv municipality building. He presented the documentation of the process which involved creating an infalatable duck 3 stories high… Artist Ido Shemi's golem-like creations were presented by him. The event took place at Saloona bar – an alternative art-space in south Tel-Aviv.

Salon Amsterdam presents All Aboard What went down after boarding Noah's Arc?
In these hyper-post-modern-times where our fear of tsunami's wiping out the world as we know it has become reality, where we are challenged to rebuild our world anew, the story of Noah and his Arc regain relevance. But can we in fact recreate the world and start from scratch? What are the implications of the extreme binary of wiping out the bad and saving the good? Actually, what were the selection criteria for deciding who got to hop on Noah's loveboat (ahem Arc) and who stayed behind? On that note, was Noah really that righteous? What went down after boarding Noah's Arc? Recreate the lost Arc experience with graffiti artist RSVisuals, musician Lonny Ziblat, and other animal crackers. Boarding time 19:00. The Arc sets sail at 19:30 sharp Boarding spot: Pier 14 behind Central Station Amsterdam Boarding fee: 5 euros Since spots on the Arc are limited, please make sure to RSVP
